Circuses
All over the world, elephants are exploited for human entertainment in circuses. These highly intelligent and social beings are chained and confined to cages, depriving them of their natural habits and environment—many develop mental disorders or violently react against their captors as a result. A large majority of elephants in U.S. circuses are caught in wild and since 1992, at least 25 have died.
